Applied Hygiene Fundamentals for Body Artists
The correct and confident application of hygiene best practices is one of the most important foundations for our work as body-artists. In this course, we will look at the basic techniques and tools of hygienic work and how these can be optimally implemented in the daily routine. From cross-contamination and how to prevent it to hand hygiene, personal protective equipment and the hygienic set-up and breakdown of a work area, we will cover the fundamentals of applied hygiene for body artists. Much of the content presented is universal and relevant and applicable to piercers, body mod artists, suspension facilitators and, to a certain extent, tattoo artists. No prior knowledge is required to participate, making the course suitable for beginning artists and current or future apprentices. Advanced topics, such as the reprocessing of tools, legal and organizational requirements or microbiology are explicitly not covered in this course.
