Contemporary History of Body Piercing

The history of the pillars of our industry and the importance of unity.

In this class we will talk about some of the characters and places that “reinvented” and built the foundations of what we know today as the piercing industry. We will start this beautiful story by immersing ourselves in the Tea&Piercing parties, and we will meet great personalities such as Doug Malloy, Fakir Musafar and Vaughn to end with the creation of the APP and the work of those piercers who shaped the industry as we know it today, in addition to reflect on the important role of associations and ties between communities in the union.

We will honor the piercers, studios and publications of those piercers and fans from the US and UK who worked for decades in a “taboo” industry during those days when piercing was not so well accepted in society.
