The project’s goal was also to honor the pioneers of tattoo art. The first illustration featured masters Gippi Rondinella and Jimmy Wong, whom Alessandro had the fortune to meet during a trip just before the pandemic.
Starting with publications on various tattoo pages, Alessandro surprised colleagues and friends with cartoon caricatures, quickly gaining widespread acclaim. The success of the Tattoons Project led to numerous opportunities and significant collaborations with various tattoo conventions, brands, and studios. This initiative not only uplifted the tattoo community but also celebrated its rich history and artistry.
